How do i switch on heater in my toyota corolla NZE?

I have a Toyota corolla NZE 121 Year 2001 make. The windshield fogs alot especially if it rains and i cannot figure out how to activate the heater, i have been using the AC instead which produces cold air and consumes a lot of fuel. The only button missing in the A/C panel is the passenger safety belt sensor. I can send a photo of the AC panel if this will be helpful.
