How do I stop my bicycle chain making a noise when I cycle?

Iv bought my bicycle about a year ago and have just gotten back into the habit of riding it, but when I do it, it dosent make the smooth sound like other bikes, its a bit louder like endless clicking. I have just oiled it, but it has make little diffrence. any ideas?

It just dose it when i peddle
 
umm try tightening the chain.. to do this loosen the tire frame and move the tire backwards and tighten the bolts.. also try to see if any scrap metal is scraping the chain.. hope i helped =) please rate
