How do I stop a layer containing an animation to stop looping in Adobe Flash CS4?

So I have this scene set up with multiple layers, and I want 1 layer to only play once, but let the others continue. The layer I want to stop playing is an motion of a man moving, so I want him to walk somewhere, stop, and then stand still there. How would I go about doing this? It is an ActionScript 2.0 file.
