How do I stay in shape without exercise equipment or many variations of recreation?

I'm 16 years old, and I've always been relatively thin and somewhat in shape. Over the past year and a half or so, after I suffered an injury that ended my high school football career, I've been really inactive. When I'm not in school, I spend all day in my apartment laying on my bed watching TV or surfing the web. I really do want to be more active, and get a lot more exercise, but unfortunately I am in a very frugal situation, living in a small apartment with my brother and single mom. I don't have a job, any money, or any exercise equipment other than 2 10 lb. dumbbells. I also don't have any places around here that I can do any recreational activities, like a basketball court or something. The only real thing I have been able to do is take long walks around the neighborhood. So how do I stay active and get a healthy amount of physical activity per day/week?

Again, I'm not obese or dangerously unhealthy or anything, just really lazy. I've been feeling so groggy, flabby, and downright gross. I'm not asking for ripped abs and bulging muscles, just a halfway decent state of physical health. Eventually, all this laziness will catch up to me and I WILL start getting fat and unhealthy. Any regimines/tips would be great....thanks in advance.

Walking is great exercise. If you don't want to walk outside, find a mall; lots of people exercise there because it's out of the weather and pretty safe.

You might look into getting a job that would get you out of the house and into some funds, as well as providing some activity. A grocery bagger moves a lot during the workshift, so do waiters.

Good luck!
