I am wanting to start a small business, involving photo editing, graphic arts, and printing of professional material such as fliers, menus, business cards, etc., but don't know where to begin. I am wanting to start off by being set up in my home using my PC and a quality printer, and doing business online, by phone, and by mail. I have no idea what steps I need to take as far as license, permits, and such though. I need to know everything that I should do to make sure I am legally and securely starting my business. Details on how to conduct such a business online would be helpful as well.
I later plan to buy a commercial building, and use it as a print shop, and a center for customers to discuss the work they want done. I also need to know what I need to know about moving my business into a building, and what additional steps need to be taken there.
