How do I soup up a 150cc Dirt Bike for cheap?

I'm getting a Redcat 150cc dirt bike I plan on removing the spark arrestor or making a straight pipe for it. I am open to all ideas as long as they are under $20 lol b/c the dirt bike is only $250 so it has to be on the cheap side.
 
You can try and bore out the cylinders yourself. And also if you want to make it look nicer you can get new skirts for the sides, and they are only like 15 bucks.
