I have a math/physics problem I can't quite figure out. I've tried several methods of solving it but none seem to give a logical answer. I have a weight of 6kg set in the center of a 16m long wire and it pulls the wire down by 16cm. I need to find the formula that determines the tension on either half of the wire. Which formula should I use to answer this?
