How do I set my camera (Panasonic DMC-LX3) such that the shutter speed

adjusts accordingly to the aperture? I'm using Panasonic DMC-LX3, and I usually like to use the Program mode, but after I fiddled around the shutter speed does not change when I change the aperture anymore. I know I can use Manual mode, but I'd like to know how to change back the settings to how it was. Thank you!
