How do I sell a car if it's in my mom's name and she passed away?

The car is mine, but it's in my mothers name. She recently passed away and I want to sell it privately. I live in NJ and I don't want to have to register it in my name just to sell it. Can I just sign the back of the title or do I need to attach a copy of the death cert?
