i have tried over and over to scan channels from my dish reciever, but, unfortunately my dvd/vcr with tuner only scanned local channels from TV. my dish reciever is always set on tv channel four, and from that i use my dish remote control to change channels. i don't change channels on tv, only on dish. my problem is how to make my dvd/vcr scan channels from my dish reciever, so i can watch one channel while recording another channel. do the dvd/vcr with digital tuner do the job?help please.
