Help! He dropped it in a sink of water while washing his hands.:ah:
We pulled it open and took the battery out of the back.
It was dry behind the battery area but the screen was doing some weird rainbow colors.

I took a hairdryer to it for awhile and have his phone sitting in front of a heater.
What else can I do?

His phone is the earlier version of mine.

I believe it's the w580i

Unless you have some sort of liquid insurance than i would say that it might be a loss. I know that not many carriers provide liquid damage insuarance but im not too sure.

I don't think we do. The phone is only 10 months old. I've never heard of a liquid insurance so I doubt we have it.

Thank you for trying to help.

You might be able to save it, you did the right thing by taking the battery out instead of turning on your phone.

Here's a link to this subject i posted in another forum: ;)

Thank you Tony.
It wasn't salvageable.:sad:The screen started this weird flickering and quit working a few hours later.

The keypad still lights up and the wet dot didn't turn red.
It was dry behind the battery.
The only thing that took water was the screen part.

Pretty weird huh?

Sorry to hear, perhaps you can get a new one at a discounted price through an early upgrade, ask your rep, they usually work with you.

PS: LOL at your username.
