how do i ride a wheelie on my sport bike?

Hi guys i have a 1986 FZ600 and ive been trying to ride a wheelie on my bike for months but still cant get it to stay up for more that 5 seconds ive rode a wheelie on a 2006 CBR 600R no prob but i just cant figure my bike out could someone with exp on older stunt bikes like mine plz help me
i also wear all of my safety gear so please dont try to educate me on saftey guys i know youre concered for other cyclist saftey but i promise you i know what im doing enough not to kill myself
i know this my seem prying into youre lives but what type of bike are you currently riding
 
if you knew what you were doing you wouldnt be trying to make a bike do something its not supposed to do -dumsh!t. no i'm not gonna waste my breath or a moment of my life on a self absorbed punk that thinks the public road is his private racetrack. youre obviously not concerned with anyone but yourself, so no, i'm not losing a minute of sleep over your a$$ being laid out all over the pavement and make damn sure to wear all your safety gear... to your burial. -and make sure your folks (who most likely paid for the bike) have an advanced directive so they know its OK to pull the plug on you.
 
just practice and youll want to be in about 2nd or 3rd gear so you can ride it out longer. but you dont want to be riding in high rpms. so lean back a little farther so you can stay at a good speed.
