How do I retain my knowledge with HTML?

Over the past couple days, I have been reading and trying out HTML from http://www.w3schools.com/html. I've been going through the chapters and trying a little of it in the HTML editor they have, but I don't feel like the knowledge is sticking in my head. Does anyone have any ideas on how to study HTML and still remember everything?
