How do I reset my iMac G5 to a date in the past?

I am running 10.5.1 and lost my Palm Calendar. When I try to open it there is a message "unexpected end of file". I was thinking maybe if I could reset the computer to a time when I still had the computer it may fix it. If anyone knows definitely how I can retrieve my calendar, please help. Thanks.
