have you checked your phone line for dial tone - it seems that you likely have a trouble on your line... if you have unplugged the power from the main base, and reconnected it, that should have reset your phone, since that did not work, i would focus on checking the phone line for a fault - bring a corded phone to the NID on the outside of your home and check for dial tone there, if there is no dial tone there then call your local service provider to come out and make the repairs, if there is dial tone there, then you need to troubleshoot further on the inside of your home - if your phone is ringing busy or going straight to voicemail then there is a short somewhere, likely a defective phone or phone off the hook... if your phone just keeps ringing when you call into it, but the phone is not ringing then there is a broken wire somewhere,,
