How do I request an Energy Pack in Facebook Mafia wars?

When you reach the homepage, there's requests from friends who need energy packs. How to i ask them for energy packs to be sent to me?

I can receive them when i get given them, and i can give them to my friends, and my whole mafia.
But how do i sent invitations for them?
