How do I replace my Avatar on fantasy sports with a photo?

I have a photo downloaded already. Everytime I choose it as my profile photo it only changes my mini image and my avatar is just blank. How do I make my photo display where the avatar usually is? I've seen some places that say you need a Yahoo 360 account, but 360 is now closed.
