I'm asking this on behalf of my automotively inept sister. She bought a new 2008 Jeep Wrangler. We can remove the panels over the driver and passenger without issue, but removing the larger back hard top is an issue.
We have the appropriate Torx bit to remove all the screws except two, located next to where the rear passengers would sit. All of the other screws had the heads pointing up, which were easy to remove. These two have the heads pointing down, and there just is no clearance to get anything in there to remove the screws.
The dealership has proven to be no help to us. I'm convinced that someone screwed up and screws are upside down.
Is there a special tool out there, or has the dealership "screwed up" on this and they were supposed to reverse the screws after my sister bought the car?
