Reader 9 has made my computer inaccessible. After downloading a pdf file from my gmail Reader 9 has blocked every possible program from opening up with this error message:
Adobe Reader 9 could not open 'example.exe' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email detachment and wasn't properly decoded).
example.exe changes depending on what I'm trying to open. I cannot open up "Add or Remove Programs" and I cannot install Windows Installation Cleanup Utility. The only programs it allows me to use are firefox and windows browser (in which the error message still pops up but only firefox and windows browser actually open). Please help!
I'd like to stress that I can't open any program but windows browser and firefox, "add or remove programs" won't open/work.
Also I did notice that when I went to right click on certain programs a new function appeared at the top saying "Read" which I assume is Reader 9 since I never saw that before. As weird as that is, "Open with.." is no longer under the right click menu (though "open" still is).
