...AT LEAST 4 HOURS? I tried recording a tv show onto a vhs for my first time just now, I put in a vhs, turned the channel i wanted to record on ( both on the vcr and tv), and I pressed record. But whatever I record over on the vhs just says "no signal" on my tv =[ What am I supposed to do? and How do I record correctly??

p.s. I have a symphonic (that's what brand it is) vcr

p.s.s. I really want to record a show at 7 o' clock tonight, so please answer soon =[

The connection goes like this. From the cable or antenna to the IN on the vcr then OUT from the vcr to the connector on the tv.

That said, now turn your vcr on and set your tv to either channel 3 or 4. The tv/vcr button needs to be set to vcr. Be sure to run the setup in the vcr menu to set all the channels and the time. If your vcr has a built in tuner you should be able to change channels with its remote.

Be sure your recording speed is set to SLP and hit record. That speed allows up to 8 hours recording time. SP does about 4 hours. Some have a mid speed that'll do around 6 hours. Depends on the length of the tape too.
