Last year, my garden tomato's were bad. Many people in the State had the same problem and called it blight. I want to know what I have to do to get the garden ready for a new year, of hopefully, fruitful crop. Last fall I pulled all the vines and discarded them in the dumpster, but have done nothing else.
State is Michigan. All of the tomato's, just before ripe, got some black marks on them, then rotted. Everyone around here said it was blight. I had no idea I couldn't plant in the same spot again. I'm not expereinced in a garden, but I guess I really need help now.

Would you happen to know what caused all the problem and rot of tomato's for so many, many people last fall?
