How do I put Music on My Samsung Rant Cell Phone? ?

I need a step-by-step Tutorial on how to get mp3 files onto my Samsung Rant Cellphone. I've plugged it into the usb, and into the computer, but nothing comes up. My computer recognizes the device, but it doesn't show the device in My Computer. Help?
