How do i put an HTML layout onto xanga?

Ever since they changed everything its been so confusing. i want to put a custom html header on my xanga, but it won't change anything, because apparently the look and feel part doesn't have any effect on the public site anymore. every time i try to put the html code in somewhere, the original temple still shows up. Can someone tell me where i would put the html code?
