How do I put a windows media video on a dvd?

I have a video I made on windows movie maker and i need to put it on a dvd so i can watch it on my tv and it has a option to put it on a dvd but when i do, then put in in my dvd player, it won't read it! Is there a software i could use? what is the best? links would be great!
