How do I put a table next to a centered image without it uncentering the image

in Html/Css? I'm currently using these codes:

<center><img src="IMAGE URL"> <table><tr><td></table></tr></td>

I tried adding the align="left" codes to them, but they knocked the image out of whack.

Can somebody help me? E-mail is enabled on my profile, or you can just leave your E-mail...

I honestly doubt I'll understand just from one answer... I would rather have someone talk me through it. Thanks! :)
