I just recently purchased my '99 Isuzu Rodeo and I have to say that it was a GREAT deal considering I only paid $2200 for it and it only has 117,000 miles on it. I am having an issue with the 4wd though and I am not sure if it is normal or not. I put it into 4WD while in park or neutral and it engages just fine, almost immediately, but when I disengage it it takes a long time to disengage. I am wanting to know if I have to be in park/neutral in order to disengage it or if it is ok to be rolling when I disengage it. Also, if it is alright to disengage while in motion at what speed should I be going? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you can engage and disengage whin its rolling. if it will not disengage right away you can stop and backup just a little and that should disengage it
