I purchased two new remotes for my 2005 pontiac G6 GT. It is the kind for keyless entry and starter. I am trying to find out how to program the two remotes. If I have to take it in some place to be done, I will. But I was hoping to do it myself to save some money. The dealership wanted $200 a crack for one remote and programming. I bought two new remotes online for $100 total. Anybody have any help or suggestions??
The car came with factory installed remote start. This is not something I put on after-market. I got the car, new, in 2005. The remotes totally suck and break all the time. I went without remotes for a long time, at least 2-3 years, cuz I got tired of paying for replacements. They have since made an improvement to the remotes so they do not break so easily. So I decided to purchase two remotes. Now I need to get the programmed. If I cannot do it myself, I will take it in. However, I would like to try it myself first, in efforts to save some money.
