How do I program a philips universal remote for an rca tv?

I have been trying to program the remote by using this website: http://www.universal-remote.net/philipsmagnavox.html. However, my remote doesn't say magnavox anywhere on it so i'm not sure if it is the right code. My remote only says philips universal. My tv is an RCA Home Theater. I have also tried the method of holding the setup button, pressing the tv button, and then channeling up or down until the channel changes and then hitting the power button or the first three steps and then hitting the mute button. Any help would be really appreciated!!
