How do I prepare a pre-cooked ham?

Ok, the directions say: "Put ham on rack in pan with 2' of water on the bottom." I'm pretty sure I know what this means, but it's my first time cooking a ham and I don't wanna mess it up. Does it mean to put it on the rack in the oven or do I have to put it on an actual rack?
Also, it says it's Hickory Smoked/ Fully Cooked so would I even need to prepare a glaze?
