How do I password protect my cellphone?

My parents have been snooping through my stuff, which also includes my cellphone. Can someone please let me know how I can possibly lock it with a password? SCREENLOCK does not cut it.

My cellphone is a Samsung Flight, model SGH-A797. My carrier is AT&T.
