I don't know anything about cars.
When I put the car in drive, the doors automatically lock. When I put it in park, they usually unlock. But sometimes not. And then I can't get them unlocked--with a key or by hitting the "unlock."
I tried to stop the car from automatically locking. I pulled out the fuse for automatic locks, power mirrors and the interior lights. The mirror and lights stopped working, and if I try to operate the locks with the lock/unlock switch, nothing happens. BUT the car continues to lock once I shift into drive. I'm thinking maybe the fuse I took out only stops the locks from being controlled by someone in the car, but the automatic locking upon driving is something of a safety feature and can't be controlled with a fuse?
How can I stop it from locking automatically once it's put in drive?
