How do I mount a winch to my 2002 Toyota 4Runner, Sport Ed.?

What equipment do I need to buy besides the actual winch? What is the best place to purchase the winch, etc?

We will be using the winch to drag up loads of firewood from the bottom of our property, so what's the size of winch I need?

You will need a winch bumper, or, if you want to mount the winch on the back of your vehicle, you can buy a mount that goes into a receiver hitch.

As to the size, I wouldn't buy anything smaller than an 8k, as that is the smallest I would want to use to pull the vehicle. I don't know the weight of your firewood loads, but unless you are pulling whole, large trees, an 8k should be more than sufficient for that job, too.
