I am a licensed contractor and a client hired me for a $2300 project, then failed to pay me and is claiming that I will get the money out of escrow when it closes. I never agreed to being paid that way and I'm pissed. I want to screw this guy in every way possible, and I want a lean filed on the property ASAP so I can make sure I get my check out of escrow as promised. I'm not taking this guys word for anything at this point. How do I do this right?
