How do I manually set the aperture priority on my Panasonic Lumix digital camera?

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZX1. It doesn't allow the user to manually set the aperture, BUT I wonder if there is another way to change the aperture, by using another setting? I want to take photos where I can blur out the background to emphasise the subject in the foreground.
