How do I make the DVD Player in my 2009 Dodge Ram work in Drive?

I just bought a 2009 Dodge Ram that has the uConnect GPS head unit. This unit also plays DVDs, but the DVDs will only play in Park. I'm taking a road trip this weekend and would like to use the DVD feature for the drive. Does anyone know how to disable the DVD player from only working in park?
 
Um, there is a reason why they disable it when its in drive... Less distraction when your rolling down the road maybe?
