How do I make sure I get a refund for the term or semester from financial aid?

I've dropped two classes so that I only owe $700 but now its saying I'm only getting $200 back instead of $1120 when it was over $3k when I had over 3 classes. I was looking to get books and whatnot ...how do I get them to give me more of a refund?
