how do I make my sprint personal hotspot PHS300S work?

i just bought a new sprint personal hotspot PHS300S and installed it and changed the settings on it and connected my WiMAX 4G usb to it.... and its not working. The light on the usb keeps flashing green, and the hotspot's light that's by the phone icon is red. How do I make it work? Do I need to change some setting on it?
