how do i make my own ringtones for an i830/why dont the i830 accept mp3 files

i830 doesnt take ringtones because thats just they way it is, it cant read them. and in order to make ringtones you need a program to cut a sound file up, i use mp3 cutter. IM me on AIM at opmeteor419 ill send it to you.
