i have two outdoor cats which are about 7 years old. i am soon moving from a house with a big garden into an apartment in a different country. i don't know if bringing them with me would be a good idea because it could be hard for them to adapt to becoming only a indoor cat. what would be the best thing for me to do? and how do i help to make them only indoor cats?

It is difficult but not impossible. My son's cat is about 1 1/2 years old, where we lived it was way off the road and out in the country so he was allowed outside but then we also had to move and we are right on a busy road. At first we kept him in only one room with my son. He wasn't allowed out of the room. We did that for a month. That was 3 months ago and he will now look out the window but has not tried to get out. Most of our windows have wooden shutters so he can't see out side most of the time, only occasionally one will be open enough so he can see out. It hasn't been a problem except now that the birds flutter by the window. He has been fixed. We have owned him since birth and he is such a loving male cat you could ask for. Good Luck
