How do I make my bike faster?

I have a Haro F1 and is woundering how can I make my bike faster for the least amount of money. Are there also any things to make it look better. Please Help. THX
 
I put cardboard airplane wings on my bike and it seems to go faster.

Also I believe that people think it looks cool aswell cos evertime I ride through the city center, everyone stares at it.
 
The most effective way to make any bicycle faster is for the rider to become faster. Work on your cadence and bring it up to 80 -90. You can also increase your power by practicing intervals and hill climbing.

lubricate all bearings and parts
sandspray your frame/ bars (make it lighter)
slick tyres
perhaps new sprocket
