How do I make applications with the JGrasp Java programming environment?

I just downloaded JGrasp for Macs, and it allows me to write and test Java code, but when I try to compile it it will only let me save it as a class file, not an executable file. I tried creating a project from the Projects menu and compiling that, but it won't execute when I try to open it and it won't launch in the applet launcher or in Firefox.
