I'm thinking about getting a turtle. I've found the one I want and everything. (well, I'm debating on a couple, but still) I looked at the turtle habitat sets and stuff, but they are very expensive, and I don't have that money to buy a set. Anyone have any tips on how i can cheaply make a safe habitat for a turtle.
Now that I think about it, It might help people to know what kind of turtles I'm interested, for size reasons. I'm debating between Baby Musk Turtle, Baby Yellow Belly Turtle, and Baby Eastern Painted Turtle. The yellow and eastern are less than 30 dollars, the other less than 40. I'd like not to have to spend much more than 40, and even then i might not be able to afford it. Any ideas?
Ugh, I feel stupid now. I'd also like some ideas on like, what they eat and stuff that I'd need to know becoming a turtle owner. This is my first time owning if i got the turtle, and I'm really excited. I'm just not sure what to feed it, how to set up the habitat, and if I even know what I'm getting myself into. All advice is appreciated.
I forgot the Baby Red Ear Slider! Sorry! He's less than 15 dollars, so if I was buying turtles based on cost, I'd prolly buy him. again, I mention they types of turtles I'm looking at so the people answering can tell by the sizes of adults and advice that need to be given. Thank you all
