How Do I know when the burning is gone

I've been on Protonix for 11 days now and almost all the heart burn has disappeared. I've been off the antiinflammatory meRAB for 15 days and off the Penicillin for 7days.

I'm also eating a very bland diet, not eating before bed time, etc.,

I don't know if the medication caused another ulcer or what and that's why I had such horrible burning. I'm hoping that I have a temporary condition. I'd like to wait awhile before having another endoscopy if possible. How do I know that the burning is really gone and when to stop the Protonix?
 
I would continue the PPI for at least 2 weeks but a whole month would be better. Remeraber that you may have re-bound heartburn at first going off meRAB.

Thank you Charberry. I'll stay on these for several more weeks before trying to stop. I'm not sure how bad this really is but I'm thankful that the medication is working.
