I have it in my garagea and thought the gas was off but apparently its not because its making my entire house smell like gas. So how do i know its off was it have to be turned to?(the knob on the left side of the bike) i think is on PRI or whatver that said right now but it cant be right cause its not leaking but the gas smell is still really strong. so any help would be appreciated thanks!

check for leaks on your gas tank / tab / all tubings
not sure late model of sports touring bike still have a gas on / off knob
or read ur owner's manual to locate the knob if the bike have one

I had the same problem it was the top cover where the key goes on my gas tank....it wasn't screwed tight enough I ended up replacing the whole panel...

PRI is for prime it allows fuel to flow freely. It is useful if you run you bike completely out of fuel and need to refill the fuel lines.

On is for .... well, ON.

EDITED, because I was not fully awake yet.

There should be a third position 90 degrees away from ON in the opposite direction of PRI that would be RESERVE if it is not labeled.

There is no OFF, anytime the valve is set to either ON or RESERVE the vacuum from the rotating engine opens the valve. The valve is closed when the engine is off, unless you have the petcock set to PRI, then it is open all the time.
