ok so i have been looking to put in an aftermarket head unit in my car and when i go to buy the harness needed they ask me if i have on star or not...an i have no clue how to tell...i mean if the car has it built in i never used it or have an account with them or anything. So how do i tell?

in that car it would be on the rear view mirror and very noticible, so im guessing you dont have it or you would know
you most likely dont but either near the stock head unit or up on the rear view mirror you'll see a small blue rectangular button that has the "on star" logo thats where the button would be it you had it. also if you have never gotten a bill from on star in the mail then you dont have it.
