how do i know if my american flag fish is pregnant?

well i have two in one 21 liter tank ones male and the other is female,they have been swimming around together for the past few months and the female looks bigger, How do in know if she is pregnant
PLEASE HELP.
well, i have two flag fish in one 21 litre tank.one is a male and the other is a female they have been swimming around together for a few months and the female has got bigger, does this mean she is pregnant?
