How do I know if my 1999 Honda Civic has a VTEC engine?

The engine was rebuilt at 122,000 miles, I bought the car when it had 150,000 miles on it. I know the stock engine does not come with a VTEC engine, it is a D16Y7 Engine, but I know a lot of people do put VTEC parts in these cars, and since it was rebuilt I thought it was a possibility. How can I tell?
