How do I keep a chalk drawing from smearing?

I just completed a chalk drawing, and I'm trying to keep it from smearing. I tried this can of Krylon Workable Fixatif I got at Walmart, but the chalk still comes off when I put my finger on it. I also tried hairspray, but it just makes the drawing look blotchy, and the chalk STILL smears. What can I do?
 
Use fixative for chalkdrawings, have to try a few. But generally I do not have problems with them. Fix it in several lyers.

You could try a clear acrylic craft spray. It's supposed to make the chalk not smear, but I haven't used it before, so I don't know if it actually does.
