How do i install the sims 2 open for business expansion pack?

I installed the sims 2 last week and i had a bit of trouble as the game is a few years old, i had to download a patch to make it work. Now i have purchased free time and open for business expansion packs and they do not work. I put the disk in and nothing comes up so i go to my computer and the disk and click on auto run and an error message comes up saying 'unable to locate required file or required files is corrupt'. What do i do???
No i didn't buy it from ebay i got it from a gaming store.
 
If you did buy it from ebay it cud be scratched up.Wie don't you re sell it.
And make some many your self.
