Your Durango most likely has a factory amplified speaker system. You need to connect the radios blue/white amp remote turn-on wire to the factory amps remote turn-on wire. If you used the correct wiring harness for this vehicle then the correct wire on it will also be blue/white or possibly solid blue. If you cut the factory plugs out of the truck (NOT recommended) then you will have to do some research to find out what color the factory remote turn-on wire is. I have not been able to locate that information for you on the web. You may need to buy a Haynes service manual for the truck at a local auto parts store and look through the vehicles wiring schematics to locate the correct wire to use. Don't try to just hook up different wires to see if it will work because connecting to the wrong wire will damage either the radio or something in the truck. This would be why using a wiring harness rather than cutting the plugs is highly recommended.
